But I do so admire these layouts I follow on Instagram. Here’s a couple of photos from my friend, Andressa Kimura, PlannersandFlowers on Instagram. So pretty.
When I started researching all of the different planner accessories — holy cow! I mean I knew there were sticker sets out there, but, another — holy cow!! There is so much more.
There’s entire planner systems. Erin Condren (erincondren.com) has all kinds of planers, stationary and oh so much more. The planner systems are very thought out and I think there is every imaginable accessory you could possible want.
Create 365 The Happy Planner is another planning system that seems to be widely available. There are all kinds of planners (some you may not even know you need!) and accessories. Planner systems like these (and there are so many more) have spawned a cottage industry on Etsy.
And, if you are interested in planners or planner accessories, you should check out Etsy. Just search “planners” or “planner accessories” and you will have so much eye candy to look at and, perhaps, purchase. It's really worth a look.
Some of the accessories are “printable” (who knew?) You can download them to your computer and print them directly on your printer. Now, that's convenient. And you can print as many as you like.
And then there is what I am referring to as “all that jazz” ,such as washi tape, fancy paper clips and binder clips, bookmarks and ribbons, and even rubber stamps to use in your planner. In doing all this research, I have to say my personal favorite planner accessory is the tassel and charms. So dang cute.
I do so admire the beautiful planner pages — especially how much time is involved. If decorating planner pages gives you joy and is a relaxing activity for you — that's what it's all about. But if it causes you more stress because you just don't have the time, inclination, or ability to decorate pages, then don't do it. We are unique individuals so that means each of us will have a unique style when it comes to our planner pages. Do what works for you.
If you are looking for Facebook Planner obsession pages, check out “Pens, Paper, Planners and Washi Tape” and “Savvy Planners”.
No matter what our planner style is, we can all admire those fabulously decorated planner pages we see on Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook for the works of art they are. And we can admire the clean lines and functionality of the minimal planner pages.
Don't shun a paper planner because you are intimidated by a blank notebook or planner (by the by, you don't even need a “planner” you can use a notebook or journal or a binder full of paper.) Just take the plunge and find your own unique style.
Happy Planning, Laurie
