![]() As the weather cools and the days shorten, my mind automatically starts thinking of the upcoming holidays; Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, & New Years. That's a lot of planning. That's where this little notebook comes in. You can do all your holiday organization in one place. Gift lists, card lists, decorating ideas (hello Pinterest), baking, travel plans, packing lists, parties to attend, parties to give, shopping lists, thank you notes to write — you get the idea. All of it in one place. There's a sample layout in the photos to give you some ideas. Click here to see it in my Etsy shop. Thanks for stopping by, Laurie

Well, crap. I just wrote a great blog about what my plans were for selling my stuff and......I deleted it. #$@^& Let me see what I can recreate. Damn, this makes me mad. Greetings my friends. A few days ago I wrote about how I needed to step back and look at what I was doing regarding all of my efforts to sell my notebooks & journal embellishments. So I took a few days to really think about all of this. I really enjoy making my notebooks, flower journal embellishments, pen pouches and putting them together in journal sets. I would like to sell them and make a small profit. So I opened an Etsy shop. Who knew there was oh-sooooo-much-more to running a successful Etsy shop besides just having fabulous things to sell ![]() So that's it. I want to have a successful Etsy shop. My plan is to take the rest of the year to make my shop the best it can be. That starts with having lots of items for buyers to choose from. I want to have 20 of each item I sell -- notebooks, flowers, pen pouches, and journal sets in my shop at any one time. I have a ways to go to make that happen. Once I have my shop in tip top shape I plan on taking on social media. I want to learn all there is to know about social media. (That's a joke. I don't think one person can know all there is to know about social media!) But I can certainly learn how to use social media in an integrated and efficient manner. I want to develop a learning schedule for the first quarter of 2018 so I can learn about my chosen social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest. Then I can create and implement a social media marketing strategy that, hopefully, will bring more visitors to my shop. More visitors = more sales, I hope. Once all that is up and running smoothly I want to turn my full attention to blogging. I enjoy blogging. But as you might have surmised, I have a lot to learn about the ins and outs of having a successful website. First lesson, don't delete something until you are very sure what you are deleting. Don't get me wrong. I will be stopping by every few days to post a picture or write a little about how things are going. I want this website to be more than that. But that's another steep learning curve that I just have to delay a bit. That's the plan. Stay tuned to see how it all comes together. As a fellow Etsy seller says, "I have come too far to quit now!"
